Working with CardiaTec, I developed a WordPress site using a modern block-theme setup powered by the Bricks Builder page-builder framework. From the outset the goal was to reflect CardiaTec’s cutting-edge work in cardiovascular multi-omics and AI, while delivering a site that is performant, clean, and highly adaptable. The site structure leverages Bricks’ native theme-builder features, allowing modular templates for the hero intro, team profiles, news ticker, and data-heavy sections — while maintaining lightweight markup and fast load speeds.

One of the most elegant features of the build is the “Team & News” section: I used a custom Query Loop block to pull in custom post-types for team members and news items, styled via Bricks and optimized for responsiveness.

The hero section is built with full-width fluid images, subtle animations, and SVG background layering that matches CardiaTec’s brand aesthetic without compromising performance. Another standout is the interactive “Key Metrics” strip (e.g., 20 M lives claimed per year / 620 M people affected) where I used dynamic counters and lazy-loaded assets so that mobile and desktop both maintain high PageSpeed scores.

What makes this work truly showcase-worthy is the combination of clean modern code, the block-theme + Bricks workflow, and the real world performance metrics. For example, the build ensures critical CSS is inlined, images are responsive with srcset/sizes, fonts are pre-loaded, and the site caches heavily for return visits. On the WordPress backend, I configured reusable global styles and custom Bricks components so the client can easily add further news posts, modify team entries or change hero imagery without developer intervention. In short, this project demonstrates my capability to create high-performance, scalable WordPress and Bricks-based builds that meet complex brand and data-centric requirements.
