Business automation development

Stop moving the same data twice.

When a lead, order or report still depends on copy and paste, the problem is usually the handoff. I build business automations that connect your tools and make failed steps visible.

Start with one useful result

A clear scope.
A working handoff.

  • A map of the current task and its failure points
  • One agreed workflow built and tested end to end
  • An operating guide, ownership and a recovery route

Development, platform subscriptions and ongoing support are scoped separately.

01 / Where to start

Which handoff slows the team down?

01

Leads that reach the right person

Validate a form enquiry, match the CRM contact and create the next task. Agree what happens to duplicates and missing fields.

02

Orders without the chase

Connect confirmed commerce events to fulfilment or internal systems. Keep repeated webhooks from creating repeated work.

03

Reports without the export ritual

Collect agreed data, reconcile exceptions and prepare a repeatable report. Flag missing records instead of hiding them behind a success message.

Have one task in mind?

Describe the manual steps and the tools involved. We can start with the smallest useful workflow.

Describe my workflow

02 / How it works

Connect the tools. Own the exceptions.

An enquiry should survive a failed connection.

A simple lead workflow can validate the request, update the correct CRM record and assign an owner. If the CRM is unavailable, the task needs a visible error path and a way to retry safely.

This diagram is an example of the decisions we scope. Your actual workflow is designed around your applications and data rules.

03 / The implementation

Use the platform the process needs.

I can work with n8n, Make, Zapier and custom PHP or Node.js integrations. We choose around the available connectors, business rules, event volume and who will maintain the result.

01

n8n

A useful option when workflow flexibility or infrastructure ownership matters. Self-hosting also brings responsibility for updates, credentials and recovery.

02

Make or Zapier

A practical route when hosted connectors fit the job. Account limits, error handling and subscription costs are checked before we commit to a design.

03

Custom APIs

For a missing connector, specialised rule or integration that belongs inside the product. Validation, authentication and state need a deliberate design.

The first scope includes acceptance checks, repeated-event handling, bounded retries and an alert owner. Handover explains how to operate the workflow. Monitoring and later changes can be agreed separately.

04 / Fit and expectations

A focused build, with a useful handover.

Good fit

  • A repeated task with a clear trigger and outcome
  • Tools you can provide authorised access to
  • A team member who can confirm the correct result

What happens first

You send the brief. I review the workflow, ask about the gaps and propose the next sensible step. If the process needs discovery before a build estimate, I will explain that scope first.

The offer is a scoped engineering service. It does not promise a fixed number of hours saved or a revenue result before the workflow has been measured.

Make the next handoff easier.

One workflow is enough to start the conversation.

05 / Questions

Before you send the brief.

Do I need to choose the platform first?

No. Describe the task and the tools already involved. Platform choice is part of the scope, including connector support, operating cost and maintenance.

Can you repair an existing automation?

Yes. Include the intended result, what goes wrong and any useful error examples with sensitive information removed. I can review the failure before proposing changes.

Does this need AI?

Often it does not. Explicit rules are a better fit for many handoffs. If a step benefits from interpretation, we can assess AI with suitable validation and review.

What will it cost and how long will it take?

That depends on the systems, access, business rules and testing needed. Send a brief for an initial scope discussion. Development and any platform subscriptions are identified separately.

What is the difference from your general automation service?

This page is a focused starting point for a specific workflow. The automation service overview describes the wider engineering approach.

Your next step

Show me the repetitive part.

Tell me which tools are involved, what your team does manually and what should happen instead.

I review the context, ask about any missing details and suggest a sensible scope. You can decide whether to proceed after that.
